Luke Paul Hoare Shaw was born on the 12th of July,1995,in Kingston Upon Thames,London,England to parents,Paul and Joanna Shaw.

Luke,at an early age,had harbored the thought of plying his soccer trade for Chelsea,due to his love for one of the club’s greatest,Gianfranco Zola. He even attempted to get an entry into their academy through the Chelsea’s Development Center in Guildford but,was unfortunately turned down.

Nevertheless,a resilient Luke at the young age of 8,later joined the Southampton Academy,and soon became a regular within their ‘Under-18’ ranks,even at the age of 15.

His first team stint came at the age of 16,when he made his debut for the Southampton first team during an FA Cup encounter against Millwall,on the 28th  January,2012. The 16-yr old was brought in to replace  winger Jason Puncheon in the last 13 minutes of the 3rd-round tie against Millwall,in a game that ended 1–1.

Following a very spectacular campaign with his team, Shaw became  a target for powerful clubs,which included Manchester United,Chelsea and,Manchester City. On the 27th of June, 2014, Shaw put to paper,a four-year deal with Manchester United,for a classified fee,speculated to be in the region of £30 million, becoming the most expensive teenager in footballing world.

Though,plagued by a host of injuries,Luke Shaw still remains one of the best and prolific left-backs in the world in league with the likes of Marcelo of Real Madrid and David Alaba of Bayern Munchen.
