Our player of interest today is the British-born Nigerian 23 year old wonder-kid Joe Aribo.

Joseph Oluwaseyi Aribo was born in Camberwell,London,England on the 21st of July,1996 to parents of Nigerian descent.

Joe Aribo began his successful career playing for Staines Town in the Isthmian league,where he eventually won the club’s award for Top Academic Player of The Year in April 2014. From there onward,he attracted interest from several club sides including Charlton Athletic which he eventually signed for.

The tall and powerful midfielder recorded a total of 18 goals in 86 appearances for Charlton Athletic during his spell in England before striking the interest of Rangers FC under manager and former player Stephen Gerard.

The rising star was eventually noticed by the Nigerian head coach Gernot Rohr,after a quite impressive performance which saw him with 3 goals in 4 games and was invited into the camp of the Super Eagles of Nigeria. The youngster,who was very pleased with this development,made his debut for the Super Eagles of Nigeria during an international friendly match against Ukraine,which ended in a 2-2 draw. It was a game which he also scored his first goal in.

Following such wonderful performance against the Ukrainian side,the youngster was subsequently called-up for another friendly encounter against the Selecao of Brazil. A game that would forever remain vivid in his memory,Joe Aribo scored his second goal for Nigeria in a 1-1 draw,in such a spectacular manner,against a team that is probably the greatest soccer outfit the world has ever seen.

With the emergence of this youngster to the footballing world,it is only a matter of time before top soccer outfits start casting their hooks to draw the Nigeria star into their ranks.
